How can I measure earth resistance of electrical panel which is earthed through GI flat which is connected to mother earth?

Thank you for your question regarding earth resistance measurements of GI Flat electrodes, it is our pleasure to help.

GI stands for “Galvanized Iron” and the Flat indicates a long flat piece of metal, and are fairly common for use in India.  How these strips of metal are earthed and how long the electrode is, may be of some help to you, but in general these GI Flat electrodes should be measurable using the same techniques as any other electrode.
