Can a Faraday cage and ground system be developed for a hospital MRI system experiencing electrical interference?

Hi Jose,

Yes, we have designs for Faraday cages and grounding systems for MRI units at hospitals.  Our computer modeling system can calculate the total magnetic interference that can be expected and/or shielded by the faraday cage.  Additionally, we can help design a  dedicated grounding electrode to achieve a 1-ohm ground source.  MRI units function better and provide clearer images when they have a ground electrode with a low impedance-to-ground.

Also, we can help you track down the sources of the interference as we have a complete collection of Power Quality meters and the experience to find electrical wiring problems that may be compounding your issues.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss your project anytime.

Best regards,

The Engineering Team at E&S Grounding Solutions
